INTRODUCING 
UV+420cut™ technology makes it possible to produce ultra-clear lenses that block high energy light from the UV spectrum up to 420 nm visible light.
UV+420cut™ technology is used to make a UV++ lens material that cut high-energy visible (HEV) light in the 400–420 nm part of the spectrum, in addition to blocking all UV wavelengths. This means it provides greater protection against the types of light that can damage the eyes.
Lenses with UV+420cut™ technology are made with the same high refractive index optical materials used for the MR™ series. The MR™ series was developed using a unique monomer polymerization process to create optical materials with a high refractive index, high Abbe value, low specific gravity, and high impact resistance. The high tensile strength of the material means it is ideal for rimless frames and high base curve lenses.

Why you need blue light protection?
High Energy Visible Light (HEVL), is blue spectrum light with wavelengths within the range of 400–500 nm. Often referred to as “blue light”, these waves pass through the lens and reach the retina.
Light in the 400–430 nm part of the spectrum is known to be particularly harmful Light. Absorptive lenses are perfectly suited to today’s increasingly digital lifestyles. They are made from a special material-based treatment that absorbs nearly all blue light emitted from digital devices and other light sources.
Blue light could cause eyestrain, headaches, and mental fatigue. Blu-CoaT lenses offer the ideal combination of protection and clarity. In addition to absorbing HEVL, wearers are also protected against 100% of UVA and UVB.
